About Cameron Evans

Cameron Evans is a photographer, licensed captain, and commercial waterman from Tangier Island, Virginia. Raised on the Chesapeake Bay, he began working in his family's crab house at age 10 before joining local crabbing boats.

Inspired by Tangier's unique culture and changing coastline, Cameron photographs its watermen, wildlife, boats, and sunsets to preserve the island's story for future generations. After earning a Business degree from Virginia Wesleyan University, he returned home to continue his photography and other businesses.
